Intravenous Vitamin C as Cancer Therapy
Since the human body can utilize specific amount of vitamin C through the oral route, a new option for obtaining vitamin C therapy for cancer and other major health conditions could be available. This was shown by Linus Pauling, the Nobel Prize winner biochemist, featuring the effective role of intravenous vitamin C therapy. The intravenous route is more powerful as it delivers much more doses in the blood than oral way, which will lead to better outcome. Although they were facing too much ridicule from their colleagues, Pauling and his team had proved the efficacy of the new technique on one thousand patients, revealing high rates of success. They showed the significant effect of intravenous vitamin C administration in cancer patients with four fold longer life than patients receiving conventional therapies. This is recently considered a gold standard for vitamin C as potential therapeutic agent for degenerative diseases when administered via intravenous route.
How does it work?
The role of oral route of vitamin C cannot be negligible, as it helps tissue repair and improves the immune response. However, giving vitamin C intravenously is the only way for appropriate cancer treatment. This can be done with the help of the associated production of hydrogen peroxide within body tissues as well as the help of white blood cells, leading to efficient eradication of cancer cells regardless their location inside the body.
Based on several laboratory studies on animals and human, The National Cancer Institute showed the role of vitamin C in suppression of cancer cell growth in cancers of prostate, liver, pancreas, and colon with subsequent improvement in life quality. High intravenous doses, which may reach to 100,000mg/day, should be adjusted to ensure both proper treatment and patient's safety as mentioned by Dr. Hoffman.
